As a family/ancestral constellation therapist I am always in awe of the disentangling of deeply entrenched patterns when using this sacred work. It has been a while since I was the representing person in a group constellation, but I chose to work with my own family's past on Monday. I attended a very powerful and deeply moving workshop, "Touch Our Holy Rage, an offering to the Ancestors and Descendants" led by Nikki Mackay and Chris Wood.
Being able to release the rage held for centuries, and still affecting me, was incredibly empowering. The disentangling of hate from rage into transformative rage was an enormous release of pain, grief and fear. The next day I found this poem I had written last year and it feels as if it is appropriate to share now. For me, writing releases emotions which need to be felt and let go of. In sharing I hope this may resonate with others and allow them to let go too.

And if you were to look at me beloveds
Would you see the frightened rabbit
Afraid to take a step forward
In case she is seen or heard.
Would you see the strong, compassionate being others see?
If I were to step forwards as that being, that compassionate being,
Would that shatter who you were?
Would that erase the scars you so bravely carry
Tending them with such grace.
Beloveds, the frightened rabbit serves neither you nor me
It is safe now
There is no shattering
Only wholeness.
