Women Gathering for Peace, Tepoztalan, Mexico, November 2025

I attended this amazing gathering between 4th and 7th November this year. This is the second gathering I have attended led by Luzclara Camus, a Grandmother from Chile. She has followed her vision to bring women together to remember the strength of the feminine lineage and to unite in love to bring forth a message of peace. The first Convergence was held in Pisac, Peru and this time we met in Tepoztlan, Mexico, to hear “La Voz de las Abuelas”, ( the Voices of the Grandmothers). Thirteen Grandmothers from South America and North America gathered to impart deep wisdom and share prayers for peace with 600 women from all over the world.

Luzclara gathered the Grandmothers from North America to represent the Eagle and the Grandmothers from South America to represent the Condor. There is an ancient indigenous prophecy around the Eagle and the Condor. The prophecy tells of a time of division that is followed by a time of healing, balance, and unity between the peoples and values of the North and the South. The prophecy also talks of the balancing of the masculine and feminine energies to bring about a new way of being for the Earth and for humanity.

I have experienced the same emotions each time I have entered the Gathering. I feel a huge wave of love enveloping me and making me feel safe and secure. I am not always at ease in groups, but within this group, with so many people, I belong.

In the four days we spent together the Grandmothers shared with us deep wisdom around the four elements. Each day three Grandmothers focused on one element. Day one was Fire, day two was Water, day three was Earth and day four was Air. Each day we listened, we danced, we moved, we cheered and we met in ceremony. I experienced a wealth of emotions throughout, but what I felt mostly was great hope and great love.

I have come home with a sense of a new purpose. I am not yet quite sure what that purpose is, but I know I am carrying an ember in my heart from the fire, which was tended throughout the four days. An ember which carries peace, hope and love.

  1. I can feel your written memoirs, I can feel it so alive within me, as if I had been there by your side, I’m reading this and tears of joy and emotion are flooding my eyes. Thank you for reminding me and reviving in my memory the collective with our sisters. I love you Alison
